College & School Sessions

Making a Major Decision

At the University of Florida, students are admitted to the university and then, during their Preview experience, have the opportunity to decide and officially declare their desired major. During College and School online sessions, students and families will have the opportunity to learn more about major/ college requirements, pathways to graduation, career connections, and involvement opportunities. Please take full advantage of each session by coming prepared with questions. Make sure to note the contact information from each presenter so that you can ask any follow-up questions you may have.

Session Information

The chart below will help you decide which session you should attend. We recommend attending any college and school sessions before your scheduled Preview date. During Preview Prep, located in Module 1 of your Canvas page, students will have the opportunity to explore the various majors offered at the University of Florida. Students can also consult the undergraduate catalog for assistance in discovering what college a specific major may be listed under. Please be aware that some majors will be listed under two different colleges and/ or schools. Please note: these sessions are informational only. Students will not register for classes as a part of these sessions but will instead register for courses as a part of their Preview date.

In the chart below you will find each college and school session being offered for our newest Gators. Additionally, you will find the college/ school name, day of the week, specific dates, time of the scheduled session, and zoom information. The day of the week is listed in the same way you will find in the schedule of courses – M = Monday, T = Tuesday, W = Wednesday, and R = Thursday. The zoom links are open access and no RSVP is required.
