Family Weekend is a highlight of a student college experience, giving families the opportunity to experience the Gator Nation! From lectures to student performances to athletic events, the campus is lively this time of year and we can’t wait to have you join your student on campus to see the place they call home.

1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Check-In | Reitz Union Rm 2355
To start the weekend off, we will have our early family weekend check-in located on the 2nd level of the Reitz Union. You can either send your student or anyone in your party to pick up your package of materials, which will be filled with all the items needed for the weekend. This includes the printed schedule, a clear stadium approved tote, shirts, a parking pass (if needed), wristbands, and other Swag items will also be included!
1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Resource Fair
Looking for ways to learn more about UF’s campus and the resources provided? During this time, you will be able to gain insight about various UF departments as they table for you to ask questions and learn more about their services. They will be able to provide you with information ranging from counseling services to student involvement and more!
1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. | Teaching Kitchen Studio with Florida Fresh Dinning (Additional RSVP Required)
The first 25 people registered per class, will join Florida Fresh Dining for a unique cooking class where participants will build-their-own poké bowls in a reusable container. The dining team is featuring local, fresh from Florida produce, and an array of seasonal selections. Eat and greet with the campus dietitian, executive chefs and hear a presentation about the future of dining at the University of Florida. #LoveWhereYouChomp
2:00 – 8:00 p.m. | Craft-A-Gator (Additional RSVP Required)
Create an everlasting memory with your Gator by stopping by the Arts & Craft Center to paint a family keepsake! Supplies are limited, so first come, first served!
2:00 – 3:00 p.m. | Stomp the Swamp – Florida Club Line Dancing Class
Hey Gators and Gator Familes! Are you ready to Boot Scoot and Boogie? If so, please join the Florida Line Dancing Club for a beginner friendly line dance class! Our officers will teach you all the fundalmentals of country line dancing while jamming out to some of your favorite country (and pop) songs. No previous expierence necessay. All skill levels are welcomed and wear shoes you can dance in! We hope to see you there!
3:30 – 4:20 p.m. | Housing Beyond Freshman Year
Do you have a gator that is moving or wanting to move off campus next year and you are unsure of where to start? The department of Off Campus Life is here to help! Off Campus Life hopes to share with you the ends and outs of the apartment search, and all the resources out there for your aspiring off-campus Gator.
3:30 – 4:20 p.m. | Not all heroes wear capes: How UF CARE cares for you
Campus Assistance & Resources for Empowerment (CARE) provides connection, support and guidance for students as they navigate anticipated transitions and unexpected events. The CARE team offers a well-rounded degree of services from medical petitions and withdrawals to the Hitchcock Feild & Fork Pantry. Join Care in an interactive discussion on ways in which UF CARE supports students in times of need.
4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | DINNER (On Your Own)
6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Family Weekend Fun Night
The University of Florida is excited to welcome our Gator families to campus! After an action-packed day of events and travel, end the night with an evening reception located in our student union! Use this time to spend time with your Gator and connect with your fellow Gator families.

Pop, lock, and drop it (or Twist & Shout) in a high intensity, high impact choreographed dance class. Wild out with us and throw your worries away for a good sweat. Presented by RecSports, this engaging dance course will be sure to get every member of your family up and moving to the beat.

10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., & 11:00 a.m. | Tradition Keeper Trail with the UF Cicerones
Looking for the perfect photo with your Gator? Join the Florida Cicerones and Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow for the ultimate photo-op tour around campus. This 45-minute tour will take you to iconic places like the French Fries, Century Tower, and the Stadium.

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Trivia: Family Weekend Edition
How well do you think you know UF? Come join us for an afternoon of fun and friendly competition. This event will include custom-made trivia, wings & things, music, grand prizes, and fun for the whole family. This event is first come, first serve. So, come on over and test your logic with the center of New Student and Family Programs!
6:00 p.m. | Gator Baseball: Florida Gators V. Columbia Lions | Condron Family Ballpark (Optional)
Let us take you out to the old ball game! Sport your Gator Spirit and family weekend attire, with pride as our Florida Gators play the Columbia Lions in the newly renovated Condron Family Ballpark! Doors open 90 minutes (4:30 p.m.) before 1st pitch.

Wrap up Family Weekend with a grab and go breakfast for your travels home. Before saying goodbye to your Gator, end your weekend strong by creating a “Good Luck Gator” stress management goodie bag! Add things like gum, mints, granola bars and more and wish your Gator luck on mid-terms.
