Family Weekend is a highlight of a student college experience, giving families the opportunity to experience the Gator Nation! From lectures to student performances to athletic events, the campus is lively this time of year and we can’t wait to have you join your student on campus to see the place they call home.

Tips to help you to plan your Family Weekend trip!
Family Weekend takes place in the Fall and Spring semester. Dates depend on a lot of factors, but Fall dates typically get posted late spring (around late April/early May) and Spring dates typically gets posted late fall (around late November/early December).
Fall Family Weekend: Late July to Early August!
Spring Family Weekend: Early to Mid-January!

If you have more than one Gator, you will need to register them separately! So put the whole family under one of the students' registrations and then register the other student(s) by themselves.
No! Guests under the age of 7 can attend for free. We have no youth sizes in our FW T-Shirts (Small is the smallest we have), but if you want a shirt for them, you will need to register them!
No. The Legacy Pinning Ceremony is a Fall Family Weekend exclusive event.
Unfortunately, no. You must be registered for Fall Family Weekend in order to attend the Pinning Ceremony.

new-students@ufl.edu or 352-392-8396)! We can write down the names of those in the two parties to ensure that you all are sat at the same table during the ceremony.
Housing is completely up to you! There are no specific hotels reserved for Family Weekend, so plan accordingly. Whether you get a hotel, motel, or Airbnb, you may want to book early to ensure you get you a place to stay for the most bang for your buck!
P.S. Don't be afraid to book outside of Gainesville, Ocala and Waldo are great too!

Parking is very limited throughout campus, so please plan accordingly. Most parking restrictions are lifted daily at 4:30 p.m. and all-day Saturday - Sunday. Guests who utilize handicap-accessible parking will need their state-issued permit. To view a campus map, please visit https://campusmap.ufl.edu.
Game Day Parking
Public parking lots are very limited around the Stadium. Please consider taking advantage of the available shuttles. Be advised that some roads around campus are closed at times on game day. Please refer to UF Athletics website for information about Gator Football Game Day Guidelines.
- General Parking The limited number of lots that are not reserved are available on a first-come, first-served basis. These lots fill up quickly.
- Non-Reserved Public Disabled Parking is located at Lot 109. Lot 109 is located on the south side of Archer Road on Gale Lemerand Dr. Additional Public Disabled parking: Any Disabled marked space on campus, other than the three reserved areas (O'Connell Center, Murphree Hall area and the Infirmary Lot), are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you need to remove any registered guests from your registration (before registration closes or) before the weekend starts, you are able to go back into the registration system and delete guests on your end.
If you need to cancel a registration (at least a week) before the weekend starts, feel free to give our office an email or call (email: new-students@ufl.edu or 352-392-8396) and we can perform any action needed on our end and initiate that refund process.
If adding to a registration, you will pay the total of added guests/events at check-in.
If you need to subtract from or cancel any registered guests or registration the week or day of the weekend, please give our office an email or call (email: new-students@ufl.edu or 352-392-8396) OR see us at the FW Help Desk, located outside of Check-in, and we can discuss the possibility of a refund.
If adding to a registration the day of, please do so at the FW Help Desk.
Refunds initiated by the registration close date, will be given a full refund.
- Please email us at new-students@ufl.edu with your students UFID to start the process.
Refunds asked for after the registration close day, the week of or day of the weekend, will be provided on a case-by-case basis.
All refunds will be initiated AFTER the weekend concludes.
