Family Weekend

To register for Fall Family Weekend, you will need your Gator(s) UFID and means of payment. A confirmation email will be sent to you after your registration is submitted.

If you have more than one UF student in your family, each student will need to be registered separately. Register your entire family under one student's registration, then complete a separate registration for each additional Gator. Additional student registrations do not need to include your family members again.

If you would like all of your Gators' registrations linked together, please feel free to reach out to our office, and we'd be happy to help!

No! Guests under the age of 7 may attend Fall Family Weekend free of charge and do not need to register. While we do not offer youth-sized Fall Family Weekend T-shirts (Adult Small is our smallest size), you're welcome to register your child if you would like them to receive a T-shirt.

A special discounted rate is being offered to Family Weekend attendees for the Florida Gators football game versus Ole Miss on Saturday, September 26th! Be on the lookout for follow-up information via email from the Florida Gators Ticket Office after submitting your registration.

No. The Legacy Pinning Ceremony is a Fall Family Weekend event, so participants must be registered for Fall Family Weekend in order to attend.

If you would like to be seated with extended family during the Legacy Pinning Ceremony, please contact our office by phone (352-392-8396) or email (new-students@ufl.edu). We'll be happy to link your registrations and make every effort to seat your groups together at the same table.

Accommodations are up to you! While we do not reserve hotel room blocks for Fall Family Weekend, there are plenty of hotels and other lodging options in and around Gainesville. We strongly encourage booking your accommodations as early as possible, as lodging fills up quickly during Fall Family Weekend. Booking early also gives you the best chance of finding accommodations that fit your budget.

Pro tip: If you have trouble finding accommodations in Gainesville, consider nearby communities like Ocala, Alachua, etc. They can be great alternatives and are just a short drive from campus.

Parking passes are available upon request at check-in for guests parking on Friday before 4:30 p.m. Parking passes are only needed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

After 4:30 p.m. on Friday, most campus parking restrictions are lifted, and parking passes are no longer required.

Please note: On Saturday, campus parking will follow UF Football gameday parking guidelines. We encourage families to plan ahead and review gameday parking information before arriving.

Confer as a family about potential scheduling conflicts prior to making a reservation for Family Weekend. Conflicts may include evening classes, mid-term exams, and/or other events that may bring family to Gainesville on a different weekend.

Registration will remain open until three weeks prior to Family Weekend or until the program fills to capacity at which time no additional participants or guests can be added.

By registering for Family Weekend, all attendees agree to the following policy:

• If you wish to cancel your entire Fall Family Weekend reservation/registration, please contact New Student and Family Programs in writing by emailing IHaveAGator@ufl.edu as soon as you are able. You will need to provide the UF student’s name and UFID.
• To receive a refund, cancellations/removals requests must be received no later than two weeks after the date of registration and at least three weeks before the start of Family Weekend.
• Refunds will be processed 4-6 weeks after Fall Family Weekend.
• Requests for refunds received after two weeks of registration will not be granted.
• Cancellation/removal requests cannot be made by phone.
• Once a reservation/registration is canceled, New Student and Family Programs cannot guarantee it can
  be reinstated.

Please note: Cancellations for tickets purchased directly through ticket vendors or individual
organizations cannot be refunded by New Student and Family Programs
